Intro to Copics Class Kit *revised*
We will start out with the basics on coloring with Copics - including flicking, blending, light source, tips and tricks, etc. This will be a great class for brand new people to Copics, as well as those who want a refresher to practice their flicking and blending.
In the video, I talk about including a 1/2 sheet sample of Xpressit, so they can see the difference between that and Hammermill. Also, I show texturizing with Denim, Terry Cloth and Burlap. Terry cloth for me is always just an old wash cloth....most people would have one of those around. So they can either just watch, and learn how to do it, or if they have an old wash cloth they want to cut up, they can participate.
You will only need 3 markers to do the class. The 3 blends I use throughout the video are:
R81, R83, R85
B21, B24, B26
YG03, YG17, YG67
Additional Items you might want to add-on to your kit:
Neenah Cardstock
Hammermill Cardstock
Xpressit Cardstock
Memento Ink Pad
(0) Colorless Blender
Texturizing Pack of Denim, Terry Cloth & Burlap.
Meet our Instructor: Michelle Uhlenhake
I am so excited to begin teaching at Scrappin' In The City. I have been crafting for over 20 years, but fell in love with Copics in 2015 when I walked into my local scrapbook store in Illinois where a class was going on using Copics. I immediately was intrigued. Wanting to learn as much as I could about coloring with Copics, I went through Copic Certification classes in 2016 and have continued my Copic education every year by taking classes under various instructors. I have been sharing my love of Copic coloring with others since 2017. In my classes, we will color stamped images with Copics which can easily be made into cards. I hope you will be able to join me.
