Class Policies

Updated March 1, 2019

We offer a large variety of exciting classes throughout the year.  We are privileged to have many talented and amazing instructors as well as celebrity 'guest' instructors.  Our classes are a great way to try new product, meet new people, and learn new techniques and ideas.  Classes and workshops bring the meaning of our store full circle... to provide an inspiring crafty experience!

All seating is limited for all classes and crops; pre-registration is required.  Class signups are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.  A class can only be reserved by paying the class fee upon registration.  We can no longer 'hold' spots without payment.

Why the changes?
In 2018, we spent an excessive amount of time tracking down payments, managing waitlists, and handling last-minute cancellations or 'no shows'.  All of these instances take away from the success of the store.  So much planning and prep work goes in to each class, crop and event.  The product has to be ordered in advance, pre-cut & kits made, instructions written & printed and staffing/teaching fees lined up and paid.  In order for us to continue providing quality classes and events and bringing in guest instructors, we needed to update our procedures . Thank you for your understanding, Sara

Cancellation Policies

Class fees are non-refundable. We must be given 48 hours notice if you are unable to attend the class so that we may give others on the waiting list the opportunity to take the class. Because the class kits are pre-cut in advance, if the cancellation is prior to 48 hours, you will receive a store credit to your account in the amount of the class. Otherwise, we will hold the kit for you to pickup.   The credit received can be used to purchase product or register for another class.  No credit will be issued with less than 48 hours notice, however you may still pick up your class kit after the class has been held.  A technique class may not include a class kit.  Class kits will be held for up to 8 weeks. Kits left after 8 weeks will be donated to a charity of our choice unless other arrangements have been made.  If a class is cancelled for reasons beyond our control, a full refund will be offered.

Guest instructor’s classes are NON-REFUNDABLE. In many cases we have to pre-pay for travel and a minimum number of kits. If you are unable to attend one of these classes we can try to help you find a replacement from our wait list.

Children age 13 or over may attend any class, provided their fee is paid and they are accompanied by an adult taking the class.  Ages 16 and over may attend any class as an adult.  Please note:  In consideration of other participants, no babies or children under the age of 13 (except in designated children’s classes/camps) will be allowed in classes.

We reserve the right to cancel a class if less than 3 participants are registered.  Your choice of a full refund or credit toward another class will be given in the event we need to cancel.

A Basic Tool kit is required for each class.  A basic tool kit for our classes includes: paper trimmer, adhesives of choice including a tape runner and foam dimensional dots, scissors, journaling pen, and a black or brown ink pad.  Please see each class description for any additional suggested supplies from the instructor.
