our blog
Sosososo sorry, I’ve not been blogging!!! This week has been CRAZY!! I apologize.... so, I’ve got some catching up to do!
Idea #5 is Handmade Christmas decorations to reuse and enjoy each year! Make your own decor with your stash and enjoy year after year. Get the kiddos involved & let them help you make them.
Paper Garland (pictured up above):
•you will need 1-1/2” paper strips cut from scraps or a fav paper line. I used Graphic 45’s Christmas line!
•Tons of ribbon
•thick string or wire for threading
•large needle
•glimmer mist is optional (I used glacier)
Thread your needle with thick wire or string. Take individual paper strips and follow a pattern of poke, fold, poke, fold ...about 4-5 times with each strip (in a wave, not creasing at each fold). I like to leave the last fold hanging out longer for a fluffier, ribbon-like look. After I thread the paper all on a strand (you can make them any length you like) I go back and add strips of ribbon to hang between some of the papers. If you like you can then spray the paper garland with a sheer glimmer mist, like Glacier, for a sparkle.
more ideas coming over the weekend to make up for missed time this week.....
